ESPORG Member Caspy Europarking Opens their Gold SSTPA

Welcome to the club, Caspy Europarking! The Romanian safe and secure parking area has just been audited and officially certified as a “Gold-level” truck parking area. Prior to this certification, the parking area hosted their opening event on September 27, with several key ministry officials, authorities and stakeholders speaking and attending the event.

ESPORG General Manager, Dirk Penasse, also spoke at the event saying, “ESPORG is happy to assist Irinel Cazacu and his team in its efforts to further improve EU parking areas by providing the parking area with the best service and security along the Rhine-Danube Core network Corridor. ESPORG was set up to meet the growing needs of drivers in an increasingly unsafe and inhumane environment. We are proud to have members like Caspy who devote themselves to providing not only the necessary services, but also the indispensable measures of safety for the transport community, and we are grateful to the European Commission for granting CEF funding.  The success of this project has already been a catalyst along the TEN-T Core Network for future projects regarding safe and secure parking. ESPORG is looking at supporting many other projects in this area to continue improving the transport environment across all of Europe. “

More about Caspy Europarking

The setup of this safe and secure truck parking area is part of a Global Project which aims to contribute to optimising and improving the security of the western and southern Romanian road transport infrastructure along the Rhine–Danube Core Network Corridor as well as to further integrate it in the network of certified safe and secure truck parking areas (SSTPAs) throughout the European Union. The project is co-financed through Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding.

The new SSTPA is located in Strejnicu, near Ploiesti, Romania and offers a high level of driver comfort as well as security with places for 70 trucks. To learn more about the safe and secure truck parking area, visit their site at https://en.caspyeuroparking.com.
