Italian Workshop Success

On October 17, 2023, together with ESPORG, member Truck Village Colleferro successfully hosted a workshop for Italian stakeholders. The contributions and value that was brought together in the workshop have surely played a significant role in advancing the mission of creating and improving safe and secure truck parking areas.

Thank you to the speakers and participants for collaborating and brainstorming with ESPORG:

• Andrea Ballarin, who divulged the current status of the CEF projects and provided valuable insights into their progress
• Marco Scaccabarozzi from DEKRA Italia, who shared his expertise on the DEKRA certification process in Italy
• Ton Klijn from ESTA, who informed listeners about the challenges faced in exceptional transports and parking
• Rino Defoor from the Government of West Flanders, who provided insights into the transmigration issues faced in the region
• Alfredo Baldi from RAM Logistica Infrastrutture e Trasporti, who presenting the development program for safe and secure truck parking areas in Italy and the digital booking platform for SSTPAs
• Marco Digioia from UETR, who shared the viewpoint of truck drivers to provide a holistic understanding of the challenges faced and the potential solutions from their perspective
• Simone Pieraccini and the team from Milence, who shared their expertise on the future of electric charging and highlighted the importance of sustainable transportation and the role of electrical charging infrastructure in the trucking industry.
