Last week, Frans Aerts, the former chairman of the Belgium Truckers Club passed on after a long time battling cancer. Frans’s dedication and passion for the trucking community were evident in his active participation in events, truck runs, and skill competitions, despite battling illness.
Frans was a steadfast advocate for bus and truck drivers, always standing up for their rights and well-being. His warm personality and friendly presence at trucking events will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
On behalf of the entire ESPORG team, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Frans Aerts. His legacy of advocacy and commitment to the transport industry will leave a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. Frans’s absence will be deeply felt, and his memory will continue to inspire us in our work towards a safer and more supportive environment for all transport professionals.
