Marc Van Grootel, a former truck driver who has lost both of his wives to cancer, organized an event on Circuit Zolder Sunday to raise money for Kom Op Tegen Kanker.

Anyone who had always wanted to get behind the wheel of a 40-ton truck could visit the Heusden-Zolder circuit on Sunday, March 3rd. Roadstars against Cancer made this dream come true for 80 people. Donors could buy a ticket and take their turn driving the truck with a professional at their side. All proceeds went to Kom Op Tegen Kanker (KOTK), an organisation who fights to alleviate the disease and advocate for better cancer policies. Organizer Marc Van Grootel, who has lost two partners to the disease, hopes to help eradicate cancer with the proceeds.

Druselia Betea, part of the ESPORG Secretariat, takes her turn driving on the track.

Marc was supported by many members of the community, including ESPORG and his former employer TVM. Congratulations on such a wonderful initiative, Marc !
