Moeve is growing its Truck Village program, a network of strategically located sites along the major transportation corridors connecting Spain with the rest of Europe. These locations offer a full range of services designed to improve the well-being and safety of professional drivers on the road. Looking ahead to 2030, the energy company is working to align Spain’s infrastructure with European Union requirements. These requirements call for safer rest areas, which are still in short supply across the country.
Mobility and professional transportation are two vital pillars of the global economy, yet truck drivers in Spain face a serious shortage of quality rest areas. To address this challenge, Moeve launched the Truck Village project at the end of 2023, a pioneering initiative offering comprehensive solutions tailored to the actual needs of transportation professionals.

Innovation focused on driver well-being
Moeve’s Truck Village is much more than a guarded parking area. It’s a space designed to provide professional drivers with all the services they need to rest and recharge, improving their experience on their routes.
Strategically located along the main logistics corridors connecting the Iberian Peninsula with Europe, these facilities let drivers access essential services without straying from their routes, helping them optimize their daily operations.
Safe and fully equipped spaces
Each Truck Village offers transportation professionals a complete solution: 24/7 guarded parking, comfortable rest areas, changing rooms, showers, restaurants, convenience stores, and fueling services. The sites also feature truck washing facilities and allow drivers to reserve a parking spot through the Starressa/Moeve Pro app, with seamless access via license plate recognition systems. Safety is a top priority and has been designed to meet the highest European standards.

Moeve is committed to sustainability and safety
As part of its strategy to lead the way in sustainable and safe mobility across Europe, Moeve currently operates three Truck Village locations in Meco, Getafe, and Villanueva de Gállego. The company aims to open more than 20 rest areas for truck drivers by 2030, located at key points throughout the logistics network.
These new facilities will not only improve drivers’ working conditions, but also contribute to road safety by facilitating compliance with mandatory rest periods. Moeve has also designed these spaces to be women-friendly, with areas specifically for women that offer additional security and privacy measures.
As the program grows, its positive impact on the transportation sector will become increasingly clear, helping to transform the working conditions of thousands of professional drivers.
Cedric Vigneau, Director of Fleets & CRT at Moeve, emphasized: “We want to honor the essential work drivers do and improve their quality of life by offering comfortable and safe spaces that truly cater to their needs.”
